The Revenue Method® was founded to remove that conflict. As the first system-agnostic advisory firm certified across multiple revenue management systems, we help owners and operators protect strategic continuity regardless of platform.
But advisory alone wasn’t enough.
Across portfolios, one pattern became clear: the industry didn't lack data, it lacked structure. Pricing strategy was being undermined by inconsistent amenity tagging, duplicated differentiators, weak expiration discipline, disconnected forecasting, and decisions made without the right modeling framework behind them.
So we built infrastructure.

FOUNDER

Joani Schumaker
With over two decades of experience in onsite operations and nearly a decade in revenue management advisory roles, Joani Schumaker discovered her true passion at the intersection of these two worlds. During her tenure at The Bainbridge Companies, Joani built her role from the ground up, overseeing revenue management, asset optimization, and business intelligence for a portfolio of 20,000 units. Her initiatives, including self-guided tours, online payments, and automated market surveys, drove significant operational efficiencies and refined revenue management processes.
Despite her successes, Joani realized she had reached a plateau. The culture of corporate America no longer resonated with her, and she craved more challenges and opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally. The role that once excited her was no longer the right fit. It became clear that in order to continue evolving, she needed to take full control of her journey. Recognizing that her unique blend of operational and revenue management expertise could transform organizations, Joani asked herself a pivotal question: "Can I establish a brand, package it effectively, and expand it to benefit other organizations?" The answer was a resounding YES.
In November 2022, Joani founded The Revenue Method®, and by June 2023, she left her corporate role to fully commit to her vision. Without a contract or client, she took a leap of faith, cashing out her 401K to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams. Within 90 days, she secured her first contract, and the rest is history.
Today, as an entrepreneur, longtime expert in revenue management, and industry advisor, Joani continues to push boundaries, master her craft and exceed her own expectations. Her journey from corporate employee to founder is a testament to her courage, authenticity, and commitment to innovation.
But innovation didn’t stop at advisory. As The Revenue Method® expanded across portfolios, one pattern became clear: the industry didn’t lack data, it lacked structure. Spreadsheets alone were not enough to deliver disciplined, repeatable strategy at scale. So she built it.
What began with Amenity Wizard™, the proprietary engine behind Amenity Intelligence™, evolved into a broader ecosystem of proprietary tools and modeling engines designed to support pricing integrity, forecasting discipline, lease expiration strategy, and amenity optimization across systems and portfolios.
