The Revenue Method® was founded to remove that conflict. As the first system-agnostic advisory firm certified across multiple revenue management systems, we help owners and operators protect strategic continuity regardless of platform. 

But advisory alone wasn’t enough.

Across portfolios, one pattern became clear: the industry didn't lack data, it lacked structure. Pricing strategy was being undermined by inconsistent amenity tagging, duplicated differentiators, weak expiration discipline, disconnected forecasting, and decisions made without the right modeling framework behind them.

Meet Our Founder

Joani Schumaker

With more than two decades in property operations and 14 years in revenue management advisory, Joani Schumaker built The Revenue Method® to challenge the traditional advisory model in multifamily housing.

 

After leading revenue management, asset optimization, and business intelligence initiatives for a portfolio exceeding 20,000 units, she saw the same issue repeatedly across the industry: Owners didn't lack data. They lacked structure.

 

Traditional advisory often prioritized software allegiance over owner strategy, while operational realities were becoming disconnected from pricing decisions. So she built something different.

In 2022, Joani founded The Revenue Method®, the first system-agnostic advisory firm in rental housing certified across multiple revenue management platforms and intentionally independent from software providers. But advisory alone wasn't enough.

What began with Amenity Wizard™ evolved into a broader ecosystem of proprietary tools, frameworks, and modeling engines designed to support pricing integrity, forecasting discipline, lease expiration strategy, and amenity optimization across portfolios and systems.
